Hello
everyone! I am so happy to be back racing and feeling good. Today was the prologue
and it was a really challenging route. Two short climbs were connected by some
flat and false flat roads with one high speed descent in between. I got off to
a great start and felt very smooth and light. I hate these 10 min efforts I started
to get a little excited and actually lost it a little in one of the corners.
I didn't crash and enjoyed and good ride for the rest of the route to finish
13th.
I feel fit, no back pain,
and ready to continue my hard training for Georgia this week. Each day I will
be riding 60 kilometers more at the end of the stage as well as some hard intervals.
I also came into this race on the tail end of a 30 hour intense training week.
On top of that my PT Allison has had my working hard in the gym on my core! Whew
it sure is a lot of hard work to get to where I want to be, but so far so good.
Thanks for tuning in and I
will keep you posted on how everything is going!
