I've been working very hard
with this objective embedded in every training routine. Things have been moving
along well and last Sunday I even participated in a local criterium here in Boulder
after a 4 hour training ride with no pain at all! It really amazes me how many
cyclists there are here in Boulder and it sure was a pleasant surprise to show
up to a local race and see over 100 racers lined up. It felt almost like an NRC
race with Toyota-United battling it out against Bissell and HealthNet. Henk Vogels
took an impressive victory with the help of a strong team.
I am planning on adding some new components to my website in the next weeks
as well. I learned a lot going through all of this rehab, and I think it would
be great to have the professionals who are helping me share some of it with you
all. So tune into the website frequently to a more in-depth look at what I am
doing and learn how it also could help all of you.
For now I have a few races in store to use as tune-ups for Georgia. I plan
on competing in the Koppenberg Road race here in Boulder March 29th, and then
the Redlands Classic in California April 3rd through the 6th. I think these races
will provide some great opportunities to make the transition to the form I need
to achieve my goal of a nice performance in the Tour de Georgia.
Thank you all for your excellent support and I can't wait to greet you on
the roads with a big smile on my face! TD
