Cycling fans turned out to meet Tom,
get an autograph, and go on a casual group ride outside Denver, Colorado.
Tom was the guest of honor at the grand opening of Bicycle Village's new
store location. On a picture-perfect morning, over one hundred lucky participants
gathered at the store for a ride with Tom.
Earlier in the day, Tom raced the Oredigger Classic — a time trial
up Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. |

The group gathers in nervous anticipation
of the effort ahead of them.

 |
An early break has formed and Tom has made
the split.

| |
 |
On the descent of the Littleton Bike Path,
Tom has lost ground after a "nature call".

|
| |
 |
Luckily, the group decides to take a break
to ask Tom when the Tour de Georgia begins.
|
|
| |
 |
After 3 more breaks, 2 direction changes,
1 broken chain, 1 crash and an untold
number of dropped riders,
Tom brings home the bunch with a big sprint of over 17mph.

After the ride, Tom signed autographs. The
line was long, but the people were patient,
and everyone got a chance to meet Tom and have something signed.
