"Tom's Spain" A day in the life
Hey guys! Thought I would drop a note on what I have been up to. While the weather in Catalunya has been rather unpleasant, that has not stopped me from getting lots of K’s in. I have been at home most of the time, nestled in the Pyrénées mountains, riding climb after climb.
There are so many incredible roads here, it feels just like mountain biking on great single-track. The roads wind all over the mountains and seem like they were built for cars. Even my girlfriend Stephanie who has been following me in the car with food, water, and a big smile cannot believe these roads! Well, whatever they were made for, I sure have spent my fair share of blood, sweat, and tears preparing for July.
I hate to be another person writing about how great they feel…But, I just have to say I feel good. That’s all I am going to say. I feel good.
So what’s next? Two races before the big one in July! GP Corrieos in Portugal starts tomorrow and then the Route du Sud in France. Both are good races with lots of climbing and I am very excited to see how I am riding.
While I have your attention, check out this video Stephanie made of my home away from home in Spain. It’s a compilation of the last two weeks of my training and some cool things the area I live in has to offer. Enjoy!
